1. What is Sloth Space

Sloth Space is a free, open-source web application that lets you create presentations using AI. The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

2. Your API Key, Your Responsibility

Sloth Space connects to third-party LLM providers (Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, etc.) using your own API key. Every AI-assisted action (generating slides, editing content, style changes) sends API requests that consume tokens and may incur charges on your account with that provider.

You are solely responsible for:

• All API usage costs incurred through Sloth Space
• Setting appropriate spending limits / caps on your provider's dashboard
• Monitoring your own usage and billing
• Safeguarding your API key

Sloth Space does not control, limit, or monitor your API spending. We strongly recommend setting a monthly budget cap before use.

3. API Key Storage

Your API key is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). If you sign in with GitHub, a lightly obfuscated copy may be saved to Supabase user metadata for cross-device sync. We do not have a backend server that stores or processes your API keys. However, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use at your own risk.

4. No Warranty

This software is provided free of charge under an open-source license. There is no warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI-generated content, or uninterrupted service.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the creators of Sloth Space be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this software, including but not limited to: unexpected API charges, data loss, inaccurate AI outputs, or service interruptions.

6. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by AI may be inaccurate, biased, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use. Sloth Space is not liable for any consequences of using AI-generated content.

7. Third-Party Services

Sloth Space integrates with third-party services (LLM providers, Supabase, GitHub). Your use of these services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for any actions taken by or issues caused by third-party services.

8. Open Source

Sloth Space is open-source software. You are free to inspect, modify, and distribute the code according to the project's license. Contributions are welcome.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
